From the 2007 ARYSL President
It is my honor to have been selected for a third term to
represent all the members of the American River Youth Soccer
League as your league President. As we begin this 2007
soccer season the ARYSL continues to be the second largest
League in District VI. Our registration will exceed 7600
players with more than 700 coaches and associated
administrative volunteers during this current soccer season.
Our league is comprised of 9 independent soccer Clubs, eight
of which field recreational (division 4) and select
(division 3) playing teams: Folsom, Fair Oaks, Orangevale,
St. John Vianney, Rancho Cordova, Sierra, Sunrise. The San
Juan Soccer Club continues to have the “franchised” right to
run our Competitive Program. However, in addition to the
Blue and White program within the San Juan Soccer Club, the
League, this year, will sponsor a “Red” competitive program,
which will be composed of the top select teams from the
various clubs within the league. The red program will be
similar to select teams. As such, they will not incur San
Juan club charges. The “Red” teams will be top select teams
competing in the competitive soccer playing league and will
be able to go to division 1 tournaments. Check with your
home club for further details.
Our League is one of 14 Leagues that comprise District VI
with the District being the largest of 9 Districts
affiliated with California Youth Soccer Association (North),
CYSA (N). The ARYSL is an incorporated non-profit
organization with over 30 years of service to the Northern
Sacramento County Youth Soccer family.
The purpose of our league is to facilitate youth soccer play
for boys and girls ages 5-19. Our league and club volunteers
all work countless hours to insure that all who participate
are afforded a safe, fair and fun environment for learning
and enjoying the game of soccer. Our players learning and
enjoying the game of soccer can be our best measure of
success.
On behalf of the American River Youth Soccer League and it's
Board of Directors, welcome to the 2007- 2008 youth soccer
season. Thank you all for the past support, which has
allowed us to continue offering our most worthwhile program.
Very Truly Yours,
Jim Kuhle
